This is my 2D shooter project. 

Modifications: 

A minor visual overhaul of the main menu. Three levels that have been modified from the original to produce a unique feel to the game.  The third level boasts multiple spawners making the player feel pressure while attempting to survive.  It has a difficult completion requirement (Defeat 100 enemies).  The main menu and the first two levels each have custom music created through GarageBand. The player has a new ship and projectiles to add increasing immersion. 

Note: WebGL browser version occasionally does not play the custom menu music.

Be sure to create the music yourself if you plan to count it as a significant modification, each track you make can count as one. You also need to properly credit yourself. You also need to properly credit anything from others you use. Not attributing credit correctly can result in zeros for assignments. 

Your other planned modifications sound good.
